How do I get a FREE inspection?
Simply do it your self with these easy tips
Using a ladder,
crawl into the attic and check for leaks, insulation and electrical hazards. Beware of the
creepy crawlies, and don't fall through the ceiling.
Put on your overalls and inspect underneath the house. Don't get stuck.
NOTE: if the house has a concrete slab foundation, omit this step.
You never know
what you'll find in your inspection, so study up on the Uniform Building Code, Uniform
Plumbing Code, Uniform Mechanical Code, and Uniform Fire Code. The Codes are a little
confusing at first, so you'll probably want to sign up for classes in each Code at your
local community college or trade-tech school.
Experience
is the best teacher. Since you want the best inspection possible for your new home, spend
a bunch of years inspecting other homes first. This will give you time to become a
member of the International Conference of Building Officials and the California Real
Estate Inspection Association..
